Best Crime Films of the ’30s-’40s

Another list from the biggest movie nerd ever, trying to educate the youths of today on the movie classics of yesterday. So now I present the best crime, gangster, and film noir movies from Hollywood’s Golden Age. A time when these movies often reflected the exploits of the crime scene of the day. We really cannot imagine what it was like back then unless we watch these movies.

And of course, I will not rank a movie that I haven’t seen. How could I? Although I have seen most of the notables a few have escaped me for now like Howard Hughes’ 1932 classic, Scarface: The Shame of a Nation and Key Largo (1948) with Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson. Nonetheless, enjoy what is listed.
