VSH’s Top 101 Movies

More than just a simple list of “favorites”, these 101 movies are the ones that have shaped and molded me into the person I am today. No, that does not sounds pathetic- more than anything else we grow up with movies so it is almost natural that they have just as much a hand in raising you than your own parents. For me it was The Sandlot, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park (among others) than turned me into the 18 year old paleontological ballplayer who wears a fedora.

Aside from sentimental significance, these are the films that have made me cry, laugh out loud, or be utterly inspired to do something- anything- worthy of my fellow man. Other crucial factors that I have taken into consideration are: repeatability. Can I watch this movie everyday of my life and not get sick of it? And my experience in watching a movie for the first time- whether in the theater where everyone clapped at the end, or the first time I showed it to someone else and they loved it just as much as me.
